Topse Maach Fry / Mango Fish Fry / Easiest way to make Topse Fry

Topse maach Fry is a traditional Bengali fish delicacy . It is also called Mango Fish.
This fish is characterized by the presence of soft bones. In most of the occasions, Topse Fry is served and loved by the Bongs.


Preparation Time : 30 mins - 40 mins
Ingredients:
      1. 250gm Topse Fish
       2. One Fourth Lemon 
       3. Salt (as required)
       4. Ginger paste (1 tsp)
       5.Green chilli , 3 to 4
       6. garlic paste (1 tsp)
       7. One cup maida
       8. One Fourth cup Rice powder
       9. Baking powder ( a )
To fry :
Mustard oil/Refined oil as required

Steps
 1. Wash and clean whole Topse Fish  thoroughly. 
2. Sprinkle some Lemon Juice and Salt over the fishes and marinade for around 20 mins.
3. Take Ginger paste , garlic paste and green chilli and mix it in a grinder.

4. Marinate the fish second time with the above mixture .

5. Now make the batter with Rice Flour, maida , baking powder.Add some water to it.
6.  Heat oil in a frying pan. Dip and coat each marinated fish With the batter and fry in medium flame until the fish turned golden brown by the outer coat.
This took me 2 minutes in medium flame for frying one side of the fish.

7. Fry fishes from the other side too.
Strain from Oil and soak excess oil using Kitchen tissue paper.

Serving Tips :Serve Topse Maacher fries hot with Rice and Bhaja Moong er Daal or enjoy it with a cup of hot tea / coffee or with tomato sauce or any dip.
